Lyle and I remember Marv from Church and also Gateway Medical. Marv was such a dedicated volunteer. He would repair equipment, and bring in much needed medical supplies. He was responsible for bringing over 60 pallets of supplies,. He also brought in a "whole car" load of tubes for the tires of wheel chairs. We mean WHOLE car load, trunk, back seat front seat. We miss you !

The Sunday before Marv's home-going, he and Barb made the "donut run" to bring donut holes for people coming to Faith Church that morning. Our family happened to be the ones serving coffee and donuts. The girls were so excited to see Marv, calling him the Donut Man, then listening with rapt attention to his tale about the late baker tearing into the parking lot with the church's order.

I truly miss marv coming to the Kent Farmers Market to get his Sweet Potato Pie on Saturday. I was tell one of the vendor that there is something missing and that was Marv smiling face as he walked up to my booth. Such a warm smile. I thank God for the short time I knew him.

I remember Marv as such a kind, gentle man. He was always had so many interesting things to talk about. But most of all I remember his gentleness and kindness to everyone he met. He loved his wife and children very much. What a wonderful legacy he left.

I wanted you all to know that I will always remember Marv with fond memories; and await the day I see him in Heaven. Maybe we will enjoy a "Brat" (Bratwurst) or two together! Thank you so much for letting my family be part of yours. And thank you all so much for your kind words. May the Lord our God bless you and keep you always.

Marv was a kind, caring, and inspirational volunteer in my kindergarten classroom at Meridian Elementary. Marv especially enjoyed working with the children on math skills. The kids learned so much from him and were constantly asking "when is it my turn?" Marv's excitement for math and learning truly showed in the way he cared about each and every student. Marv, we all miss you!

Marv and I worked together during his work life at the VAMC is Seattle . He was always working to hard to keep his responsible equipment up and working for the use of the Veterans . We all give a lot to our work lives and Marv was at the top of list . He was always willing to give and go the extra time and effort . We were both calling our wives late in the day . Barb, sorry for your loss.

When I think of Marv, I think of him as a gentle giant. I only knew him at GMA but in that short time, I learned to respect him as an extremely
intelligent man in his field. He filled a niche at GMA that nobody else could. What a blessing. He will be sorely missed. May God continue to bless his family.

Words fail to come to me at this time. We always were able to speak without using words. You are in my heart, will always be. Happy Father's Day, Dad.

Barb, Marv stood out, not only for his height and beard, but for his kindness.
There are too many stories to tell you in this limited space about our experiences, especially in China.
Hopefully, I will make the services on the 29TH.
My best regards to you and the family!

Sorrow and shock filled our hearts at the loss of Marv's life. Such a dear friend and "Big brother" to me & my family. To Barb & the family: though these times may be filled with agony and your hearts may feel like they will never heal, just remember Psalm 34:18 "The Lord is near to the brokenhearted and saves the crushed in spirit".......Luv ya!!
