This memorial website was created in the memory of Matthew Sueper, 22, born on January 27, 1989 in Boulder, Colorado and missing and feared gone on September 2, 2011. We will remember him forever. He is/was a gentle, kind soul.

Matt, I think of you every day as you (and your cousin Joe) are on my kitchen cupboard doors. Your voice, laugh, and shit eating grin when playing various games at Grandma Betty's are memories I love and think of often. You are still so Loved and misssed dearly. What a beautiful memorial. I know we lost touch in the past few years Matt but I'll never forget the memories of the time we spent together and how good of friends we once were. Matt, I met you when I stayed with your mom Donna while I looked for a place to live in Boulder. I cherish that time with both of you. I helped her with your 5th birthday party, and I remember how I hoped I would be as good of a mom as Donna some day. Wishing you peace and love.

I have vivid memories of Matthew's appetite for books and being read to. I would be visiting with Donna in the evening and Matthew insisted that Donna read him many stories from multiple books. It was like he was a kid in the candy store ... he couldn't get enough! I recall his enthusiasm, SMILES and CHARM with great Joy! He loved immersing himself in the stories!!!

...then there was that time that Matt came with us to the Denver Museum of Nature and Science to hear a talk about cats in Egyptian art.
It did not go well because the speaker had fortified her courage to the point that she could barely speak.
Unfortunately we had taken front row seats, so while the auditorium emptied out hour by hour we stayed put.....
However we laughed like crazy all the way home to Boulder because Mathew started to recite key phrases from the talk that sent us into paroxysms of mirth. He saved the day.

Another memory I treasure were the times we use to hang out at my house in the canyon and watch movies together - Matthew loved to cuddle with my cat, Mousey. He never wanted to leave. He was also a great hugger - he made me smile inside and out!
I have fond memories of Matthew playing on the rocks in the creek and at the park , Matthew and Donna were like family to me when I was far from home. Forever grateful I remain.
