Her Life

This message was provided by Melanie's family member:

January 31
Hi, my name is Karene Freeman and I'm Melanie's older sister. To say that I'm devastated by the sudden lost of my sister is an understatement. Melanie was a light in all of our lives. She was always generous with her time and her love. She has left a void in our family as well as her friends' lives. With occurring mounting expenses surrounding her sudden departure, her family would appreciate all those who loved her to donate what they can to help defray costs. Melanie did that for countless other families in their time of need. So it would honor her and the way that she lived her life if you would assist the Freeman family.
God Bless You All,
Karene

Never Can Say Goodbye: Celebrating The Life and Legacy of Melanie Freeman

January 26
Melanie Freeman dedicated over 14 years of her life as the founder and president of “The Michael Jackson Fans of New York”. Her untimely passing on January 20th, 2024, left a void in the MJ community that is impossible to fill. She made New York City a special place to live and celebrate Michael Jackson’s legacy through her meetups, activism, and causes that helped change Michael’s legacy for the better and inspired others to do the same. Her unmatched dedication will always be remembered. In this stream, we will celebrate Melanie and share stories of our encounters with her both in person and online. Let us share love to her and her family as we celebrate the mighty moonwalker that she was (and forever will be.)
