He will be missed

April 27, 2016

Mike was my immigration training officer as well. He was so down to earth and laid back. He took the stress of starting a new job away. He was so proud of his daughters, always so proud of their equestrian accomplishments and he often pulled up pictures of his daughters on his phone to share with a huge smile on his face. He looked forward to spending time with them and watching them ride their horses. . He was very knowledgeable and  was my go to guy for immigration questions . He will be dearly missed.

Mentor

April 27, 2016

I first met Mike my first week back from the academy. He was my immigration mentor and a great one. At that time I had a two hour commute to work. My husband would drop me off at work and then scout the area for places to live. I will never forget Mike asking me " Where's your GUN?" I had left the lock box in the truck of the car...my husband had already left. What a way to start off my new job right. Mike walked away didn't say anything. My thoughts were he went to notify the supervisor.  When he came back he handed me his car keys and said " I'll cover for you, you go get your gun". He was that guy that would always have your back! Rest In peace  brother, your watch is over.

There are no words to describe the hurt and loss that I feel without you.  However, I do find comfort knowing you are at peace and will always be my protector in the sky:)  I love you!
