I first met Noreen in Dominican Hall St Stephenson Green Dublin in October 1965.We connected immediately as we were both from the west of Ireland. We set off on our academic adventure…Noreens life took her to England(where she met Paul) and to Europe where they were based. Finally going back to America.Noreen constantly studied and upgraded her qualifications and received an MA.She also qualified in Special Educational and made such a difference to so many childrens lives. We always stayed in contact… and I was always so delighted to see her and our other friend Kathy (Gough) every summer when she came “home” to the West of Ireland for a catch up.Noreen I will miss you.Our friendship lasted well over 50 years.May you rest in peace and sleep with the Angels.

Noreen and I first met as neighbors in 1984. Our kids were the same ages and became fast friends, just as we did. There were lots of sleep-overs, picnics and birthday celebrations together. Noreen was fun to be with, like the time she got up and danced with the Irish dancers at Maggie's on St. Patrick's Day, or dressed up as a flapper with me for a Halloween dance. We rang in the New Year together some years, where she would pull out her pub skills for us in the kitchen. I will always consider her a treasured friend who was a big part of my life. May you rest in peace now, my friend.

Coming Home
Safe in the hush of the whispering leaves and the call of the ocean,
I have come home
I have returned to the place from whence I came ,
To the family, the people and the town that raised me
The place of my childhood
I have come Home

When you walk through this place you will feel me
In the first daffodils of Spring , the butterflies of Summer ,the singing of the birds the barking of the dogs
In the gentle lapping of the waves on the strand in the Summer sun, or the roar of the wild Atlantic in a Winter storm
I am all around

From now on I will dance through your memories
Threading thoughts of love through your heart
Where there is dancing, singing and laughter, there I’ll be
Where my family gather in prayer, laughter and tears I'll be there too
Soon the days will be lighter and the nights not so long
For I am still here

Here, beneath the shadow of Croagh Patrick
With the roar of the wild Atlantic from my beloved Carramore in the distance
I have found my Resting Place
I have come Home
I am at Peace

We miss and remember you every single day since we bid our last farewell one year ago today Noreen. May your gentle soul Rest in Peace xxx

Tara and Sean,
Loved Noreen! I’ll always have so many fun memories from our childhood (from 2nd grade through high school) with you and your mom was a special part of it all! From all the time at church to going over to your house to play and for sleepovers - she was a cool mom ;) I found a couple pictures from our confirmation that I’ll add to the pictures page. Prayers for peace for you and sending hugs too! I know she is in a wonderful place! Take care :)

We were sorry to hear about Noreen passing! We were friends when our kids were growing up and have great memories of those fun days back at St Rose of Lima Church. Noreen was the one who could make you laugh when you were down! Tara and Sean, our thoughts are with you both. Your mother’s smile and Irish accent remain in our hearts!

I remember Noreen as our funny, sweet, and opinionated, lovely singer from our church choir at St. Rose, with that familiar Irish accent (when I first got to know her). She made us laugh and made us think about some song choices and some song tweaks & improvements. She certainly was one of those treasures that I will always remember. Rest in peace my friend, and God bless you.

I miss you already Noreen! It is so difficult to say goodbye to someone as special as Noreen. I find comfort in knowing she is now at peace, after such a long illness, and resting in the loving arms of our Father in Heaven.
My deepest condolences to her children and her family in Ireland. I will miss our birthday dinners, especially when she hosted, she cooked the best ribs. She genuinely cared about others and from time to time a bit of feistiness would appear. It was easy to love Noreen for the wonderful friend and Sister in Christ who she was to me and so many others. So long my friend, until we meet again.

Dearest Tara and Sean,
We all met in Madrid, Spain. Your family and ours lived in Royal Oaks. Your house was the hill above from ours. Your mom and I often visited and talked and read books as well. I remember both of you cute as can be and the lovely angel kisses( freckles) you had. I am so sorry to hear about your mom. We did get to chat when she worked at Lackland and I at SAISD. I am only sorry we did not see more of each other. I pray you two are well and have strength for all you are going through with her loss. She was a lovely lady and I pray she is resting in peace in the arms of our Lord.
Much love
