Ochuko James Okiti was born on Thursday July 15, 1971 in Lagos to the family of Late Chief James Onogagamue Okiti and Chief Mrs Rosaline Okiti of Eku in the Urhobo speaking part of Delta State. He was the first son and third child of his parents who were blessed with five (5) children namely Onome Okiti (late), Elizabeth Okotete, Ochuko James Okiti, Peter Okiti and Kate Eneje.

He had his early education at Maryland Convent School, Maryland Lagos and then on to Federal Government College, Ogbomosho where he displayed academic brilliance leading to his admission to study Accounting at the University of Benin. He graduated with Second Class Upper Honours Degree and within a year qualified as a Chartered Accountant and thereafter was made a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (ICAN).

He further obtained an M.Sc in Economics from the University of Lagos.

After a stint as an Auditor and Management Consultant, he forayed into banking joining Diamond Bank in the year 1995 where he spent three (3) years excelling all through.

Ochuko then proceeded to Zenith Bank where he served for 14 years rising to the rank of Deputy General Manager. He held various positions in the Bank where he was exemplary, winning awards and recognitions for his leadership roles particularly in Operations, Real Estate, Agriculture, Corporate Banking, Mortgages & Consumer Credit. He also pioneered the setting up of some Zenith Bank foreign subsidiaries.

Ochuko James Okiti is an Alumnus of the Harvard Business School. He attended several professional courses locally and abroad, which include the Wharton Business School of the University of Pennsylvania USA and the Lagos Business School (Pan Atlantic University).

He obtained a Certificate in Real Estate Finance from the Wharton Business School as well as the Senior Management Programme (SMP 16 class) from the Lagos Business School.

Upon retiring from banking, he attended the Owner President Management Programme (OPM 45 class) of the Harvard Business School between 2012 and 2014. He was the MD/CEO of StarWalker Limited and Amusement City Limited. He was a Director of several companies, which include Moonwalker Connect Limited and Professional Gems Limited amongst others.

He was a man of many parts. He authored the book ‘Beyond the Limits’; he was a Motivational Speaker, Business & Executive Coach and Corporate Trainer for banks and non-bank organisation, facilitating training courses both locally and internationally. He mixes very well and built a very strong network of high profile relationships across various strata of the society. Ochuko was involved in the NGO, Agency for Youth Development & Cooperation (AYDAC) and in school, was a member of AIESEC. He was calm, charming, enterprising, selfless and very kindhearted, touching the lives of everyone he came across. He was full of wisdom, a very thoughtful person and always with a kind word for anyone around him in a situation, giving a listening ear and a helping hand.

In 1999, he married his sweetheart and friend Tobore Joyce Okiti. The union is blessed with two lovely children, Maro Anita Okiti (14 years) and Mase Anthony Okiti (13 years).
