Dearest Lola, words fail me. I had a close interaction with you during the National Id card exercise and was impressed that despite the chao you were all smiles. However, what impressed me the most was your disposition towards my encounter with your driver who was extremely rude to me. I remember calling your attention to it as i was very upset and in your calm nature, you apologised and explained his wife was due to have a baby, he hadnt slept and was about leaving for the hospital. You were so calm and i did feel silly for over reacting. So many beautiful words have been spoken of you, a true reflection of who you are. We love you but God loves you more. Keep smiling!!!!

Words fail me to express myself upon hearing of your demise. When your son David, broke the news in the course of reviewing his mock history papers, I said 'O Death, where is thy sting? O Grave, where is thy Victory?' For thou, have been swallowed up in Victory. Your smile at all times is what I will always hold dear. REST ON IN THE BOSSOM OF OUR LORD TILL WE MEET AT HIS FEET AT THAT GLORIOUS APPEARING.

Dear Lola, when we met on your first day at school, I invited you to join PTA, you did without hesitating. You worked tirelessly and your smile was infectious. Your keen interest in children, their wellbeing, their social and academic pursuits was impressive. You were extremely friendly and genuinely interested in people. Our last conversation about your book still resonates with me. I was counting down the days to work with you on the book. But God had a different plan because He loves you more. May He grant your husband and beautiful children the fortitude to bear this loss which is heaven's gain. Rest on!

You were a doting mother to your three wonderful gems. When I didn't see you around for school runs for a while, I knew something was amiss. You will be surely missed. May your soul rest in peace.

It is sad that i have to write this tribute of my dear Lola ( My Niger House Partner). When his raging river which overflows and drowned has passed, a consciousness shall remain upon our silent shores of memories which cannot and shan't be destroyed.
In the old book it says "In everything give thanks for this is the will of Hod in Christ Jesus concerning you". This means that in spite of the untimely and painful loss of our dearest sister Lola, we must be thankful for the good life that she was blessed with and the precious time we had to spend with her.
Part of her legacy are the three amazing and gifted children and loving husband that she has left behind as well as the priceless memories of a beautiful, elegant woman of virtue who was adored by all of us because of who she was. May her gentle soul rest in perfect peace.

Our dear 'Ms Lola', as fondly called by all of us in Playhouse is a very hands on and doting mother who made sure her three lovely children were her first and most important priority without any apology!
Our children at the centre always loved it when you were around and got away with anything! Thank you for giving of your time in caring and loving them with your infectious smile and warmth. You also had your way of inspiring the staff and sharing your stories. I am so glad we saw and had our own tete- a- tete at the end of last year when you came to drop off costumes for us. Thank you also for your personal involvement in making us register for our identification cards and seeing it through.
May your love, sacrifice and labour over David, Deborah and Danielle propel them to great heights as the good lord guides and strengthens them along with your husband at this most difficult time-amen Rest peacefully in the lord's bossom Lola!

I know a woman, she thought me love ❤️ when I felt this does not exist it’s superficial, she thought me faith in a different dimension she though me warmth affection to the children and family when I thought toughness is the game plan to raise them. Her integrity baffles me ,with her, business was always just a handshake deal for me,she always strives to deliver on every commitment she makes to you . She always saw good in every thing and everyone, always drumming it into my ears that Heaven is the real deal. Loving, caring, dedicated to all and any course you bring to her. She is indeed a mother, a friend .a pastor my prayer partner and my super motivator. I Love you pastor Loooooola , I always say thi to her You are gone to be with the Lord, but your memory lingers on, I still think it’s all a dream but !!!!!!!! It’s real!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!. Adieu my dearest Pastor Lola

Painful Exit

April 8, 2019

With pain in my heart, I write this  tribute to Mrs. Lola Oye-Igbemo who, in the short period of time that I knew her made a positive impact in my life...she was soft-spoken, kind hearted, motivating and a counsellor  not only to people who were close but anyone who came in contact with her.

She was a blessing to the Grange School community with her love for reading and service.

She shall forever be missed.

May her gentle soul rest in the blossom of our Lord.
