A Soldier Story
On that faithful day of May 13, 1980 birth to mother earth and humanity a boy with a humble begining, one that we all maybe one way or the other havehad the opportunity to faced-some give up, some give in, while others like a soldier General Oso struggle on. I remembered how many days even without he spoke with positivity, looked into the future with great dreams and aspiration, refusing to back down and give up on life and its challenges. There were times he would say Eugene big bro, we got to take over some day, least did I know his taking over meant good bye to a life of great prospect and positive realization and dream short lived.
He was a friend you could count on, We had our disagreement like all normal beings, but he wont allow you stay angry with him for too long. He was socially active sharing in everyones joy as well as a companion in sorrow. He smiles without a humor an laugh to even a joke unfunny. He balance life with priority on his scale of preferences. He knew his limits and understood when he was hurting a friend. Never difficult to let out a sincere apology nor hold a thing or two when he felt offended.
With all these passing moments, he grew to be a man, achieving some of his childhood dreams and aspirations, a soldier he was and like a soldier he departed... not wanting to offend any, nor be a burden to many, a liability he refuse to be with limited opportunities, even in death he chose to leave us, many, friends and foes alike with a story to tell, a memory to cheerish and a life to emulate.
Oso You were really a soldier, a true general. To us who you got closest to whilst stay grooming into the man you became, we say, you left us a task and a thought. I will learn a valuable lesson from this event knowing that it doesnt matter how long but how well we sojourn in this life. Thanks for the journey small brother and sleep well.
RIP-
Oso, Ross, Rossi, ORP, small pelham
Sleep on my brother and dnt forget to advocate on our behalf, till we meet again
Farewell, Farewell Farewell
