In loving memory of Papajay, a beacon of strength, wisdom, and love. His life was a testament to dedication, sacrifice, and unwavering devotion to his family.

As a father, he nurtured us with boundless affection, guiding us with gentle wisdom and steadfast support. His laughter echoed warmth through our home, and his presence brought comfort in times of need.

Though he has departed from this earthly journey, his legacy of love and values remains etched in our hearts forever.

As we cherish the memories we shared, let us find solace in knowing that he now rests in peace, embraced by the everlasting love of our Heavenly Father.

May his spirit continue to guide and inspire us, and may his memory be a blessing that shines bright in our lives.

Rest in peace, dear father.

Peju.

Dearest Dad,
“Any man can be a father but it takes someone special to be a dad”. These are the words that speak to me in this moment of despair. How does one quantify the loss of a such a great father. The man who taught me mundane things like how play draught, table tennis, how to tie my shoe laces, to the more serious life issues of how to be a man. Now I am a father and I can identify with some of his ideologies. I can relate to the challenges of fatherhood. My father was a man of many parts. But to me he was just “ Dad” the greatest father of all. Right from childhood, he had been there for me. Through the many valleys and mountains of life, he supported me and provided abundantly for me. He made sure I never lacked. The ideals he stood for – hardwork, discipline, humility and charity still resonate with me till date.
He not only ensured that I imbibed the right values but explained the importance of passing on these norms to generation after generation by teaching my kids and ensuring they teach their own children in an amiable manner."NEVER ENDING WISDOM"
Adieu PAPA JAY my great father,my mentor,my friend.

Honoring the Memory of Our Loving Father - Papajay - Three Years On

As we mark the third year since our beloved father departed from this world, we reflect on the profound impact he had on our lives. Though time may pass, his presence remains palpable in our hearts and minds.

In the quiet moments of remembrance, we find solace in the cherished memories we shared together. From his comforting embrace to his words of wisdom, his love knew no bounds, leaving an indelible mark on all who were fortunate enough to know him.

Though he may no longer walk among us, his spirit lives on in the lessons he taught us and the values he instilled within us. Today, as we honor his memory, let us take comfort in knowing that he is forever with us, watching over us with a father's gentle guidance and unwavering love.

In loving memory of our dear father (Papajay), may his legacy endure and may his spirit continue to rest in perfect peace.

I have just now become aware of Mr. Akintola's passing, hence this rather belated tribute to him. I was privileged to work in Afolabi Akintola and Company, Chartered Accountants at catholic mission street, Lagos in the early 1970s. Mr. Akintola was a kind hearted, thoroughbred professional. He was mostly responsible for my successful transition from a purely science background to qualify as a Chartered Certified Accountant in good time. May his gentle soul continue to rest in peace. Amen! Maurice Opara FCA, FCTI

AFRICA and the DIASPORA has lost a QUINTESSENTIAL PHILANTHROPIST....who truly should be rightly referred to as the GRANDFATHER Of The AQUACULTURE REVOLUTION in NIGERIA.....why?
His 5,000naira Gift to me to facilitate our Bussiness Exhibitionat the 2nd Lagos International Trade Fair kickstarted my sojourn into the FISHERIES WORLD which eventually birthed the popular MRFISH BRAND that has unarguably CATALYSED the CATFISH REVOLUTION in Nigeria via his WILLING ACCEPTANCE to allow his defunct BELEWO FARMSas a TRAINING SPRINGBOARD for the PIONEERING GROUP Of SUCCESSFULL CATFISH FARMERS IN NIGERIA.

Dear Daddy,

“The British Gentlemen” – right from birth, that was what you epitomized. You taught us so much, how to be cool even when provoked. You never lost your temper even when instigated. You taught us to imbibe the attributes of hardwork, humility, discipline and particularly how to make your favorite pap.
How do I best encapsulate your qualities?

GOD took the strength of a mountain and the calm of a quiet sea
He took the joy of a morning in spring and the comforting arm of night
He took the wisdom of the ages and patience of eternity and he called it Dad
Yes that was our Dad.

And we are grateful for all you stood for in our lives.

Rest on baba mi.

Dear Daddy,

You were an epitome of a British Gentleman. I can never recall you losing your comportment even when provoked-and we often did that. I imbibed the qualities of hardwork, humility, discipline from you. Most of all, I learnt how to make your favourite soya bean pap smoothly.

How do I best encapsulate your qualities?

God took the strength of a mountain and the calm of a quiet sea
HE took the joy of a morning in spring and the comforting arm of night
HE took the wisdom of the ages and patience of eternity and called it Dad.
Yea, that was our Dad.
And we are grateful for all you stood for in our lives

Rest on Baba mi .

Peju
