Roland, you taught us well. The fences you helped us build are absolutely the best, and our first set of steers each grew up to over 900 pounds hanging weight. They were healthy and happy. Chickens are well (with the roof over their coop made from tin you gave us), and this year's hay is mowed and baled. Thanks for being a teacher, a mentor, and just like family to us. We miss you so much !!

To Roland, who illuminated the way in so many things, and who brightened our days in so many ways.

Roland was one of the most honorable and hard working men I have ever had the pleasure of knowing. His passing leaves a hole in my heart and in the heart of the community he lived in for so long. It is a comfort that he was loved and respected by so many people. We shall be telling "Roland" stories for many years to come.
