wonderful memories of Russ at the lake with us, enjoying camping/fishing and walking along the extremely low Lake Buchanan discovering treasures! Russ loved to dove hunt in Shiner, not that he got too many! I think it was more for the being with the guys. Russ you will be missed a bunch here in Texas!!!!!!!!!!!!
Rusty, each memory we shared is filled with joy, excitement and your smile. In those times I never realized how rich those experiences were. Live on my friend!
Thank you for being in our Lives. We are so much richer for your friendship, your humor, your fast cars :) !! It was a long journey for you and now you are cancer free my friend. Your fight was a testament of your will to live to all of us. Love you, and we sure will miss you.
Wonderful memories, forever in our hearts and minds. The long journey is over, but your new one is just starting...and you will do it your way! Love always, dear friend,... until we meet again.
I will always remember the times that you and Phil came over to my house. There was always so much laughter, what good times. I am so glad I got to reconnect with you at our reunion.'You are missed. "Patsy"
"Will never forget the many times that we nearly got 'kicked out' of Am. History (Mr.Nelson) for laughing uncontrollably. And, there were the rides, on the back road, that the tires would leave the ground and we felt like we were on a roller-coaster!!Good memories, good high school friend." Wish we could have re-connected at one of the get to gathers. Time runs out."
Miss you, friend, a renowned archery ace early on and just plain "ace" later! So glad to have the opportunity to refresh friendship at the 50th. Sorry to miss you finally at the Hogan! See you in the blue by and beyond!
I am so glad I had the chance to re-connect with Rusty at the 50-year class of 1965 reunion. He was exactly as I remembered him in high-school: genuine and gregarious. He seemed the picture of health, and my heart goes out to his family who gave him loving care to the end, despite the shock of his short illness. He will be missed.
I'll never forget the fun that you, Phil Simpson, and I had the summer of 1963: Tennis, archery, and learning how to throw boomerangs at Boddington Park. Always loved your easy manner and sense of humor, and we are all going to miss you.
Thank you for the memories that we shared while you were here with us. You always made the girls laugh and you had a great sense of humor. I'm glad we all had a chance to share this life together. You will be deeply missed.
