Mom, I will always love you, & miss you. My fondest memories are of you. Now, I have tragically lost my beautiful grandson & your great-grandson Austin, too! As I struggle to support my child in his loss, the hardest thing in my life, ever, I really need my own mom to comfort me. All I can do, Is to pray you will hug & kiss, & take care of my beautiful boy. I take comfort, knowing he is with you in heaven. Love you. Tell him I love him too. Thanks, mom.

Mom,
It broke my heart that we could not be with you these last several weeks due to the Covid virus. I hope all the phone calls and video chats helped you understand why we were not there. Please know we appreciate that you always did your best for us, and we will love you, forever.
It gives me comfort to know that you are safe now, no pain, no fear; forever in the arms of Jesus. Love, Jenny.

Jesus and I (A poem by Ruth Jones 1999)

Shared by Karen Gillespie on May 2, 2020
Sometimes I get so weary, as I travel down life's road
My burdens seem so heavy, but I try to bear the load
I try to pick my feet up, and make myself go on
That's when I call on Jesus, I just can't make it on my own
He seems to gently say to me," reach out and take my hand; and I will take you to a place I call the Promised Land"
"There are no heavy burdens; no heavy loads to bear; for I have taken them away from all my children there"
So I reach out, and take his hand, and right away I see
I'll make it through another day, for he'll be there for me

Mom,

This is one of the hardest things I have ever had to do - to say goodbye. I feel like a piece of my heart is missing. But as it says in Philippians 4:13 “I can do all this through Him who gives me strength”. I have so many memories to hold on to. We were blessed to have you for 90 years. I know they weren’t always easy years for you but you made the best of them by God’s grace. You and daddy didn’t have a lot of material things to give us but you gave us many gifts that can not be measured by this world. The gift of love being the most important but I have to mention the gift of music. The legacy of music you and daddy have passed on to us, your children, your grandchildren and great children is something words can not explain but will remain with us through every generation to come. I thank you for that. So I say goodbye for now but one day I will see you again in Heaven. I love you now and will love you forever. My sweet mama.
Love,
    Judy
