Mrs. Bledsoe was born October 1, 1959 in Troup County, GA to the late Thomas Jefferson Norris and Betty Jean Wilson Norris. She was a Baptist by faith.

Despite suffering from injuries sustained in an accident some years ago, she stayed active. She was especially fond of family gatherings when they would grill out. She loved having her family near, in particular her grandchildren.

She also enjoyed fishing, reading, and watching TV and movies. Among her favorite TV shows and movies were “Grey’s Anatomy,” “American Horror Story,” “Drop Dead Fred,” and “The Big Green.”

Survivors include: the love of her life and caregiver, Eric Bledsoe of Franklin; one daughter and son-in-law, Dana and Nicholas Long of Franklin; one son, Richard Elkins, Jr. of Franklin; a special daughter she thought of as one of her own, Jessica Ellington; nine grandchildren; one brother, Allen Norris of Franklin; and a number of other relatives and friends.
