Mr Shane Graham. I miss you so much my brother. I went to see you today with Garrett and Jay and both of your parents were there too. I will never forget meeting you when we were in 6th grade in the cafeteria at river ridge. Everyday for like a week this weird kid kept coming up to me in the lunch line and saying OMG its the Kyle Heflin!! I cant believe its the Kyle Heflin.... I had no idea who you were at the time but I'm glad that you talked to me. Something so strange and simple would start a great friendship and very quickly you became my best friend that would leave a lasting impression on me. I was always jealous of you. Weather it be how smooth you were with the girls or your amazing ability to completely slack off in class with me but manage to ace every test. You were always a great friend and you are truly missed. Until we meet again bro. Love and miss you.. ✌

Thinking of you as usual, more so today. Thinking of your Family and wondering how they're getting through the day. They are probably sharing stories about you, laughing, crying, laughing more...because you were the biggest goofball.
I don't know how old we were, but I remember when you lived in Brick and I came over to your house to play - I remember the development like yesterday and walking around outside (we were told not to but we did anyhow). We walked FAR. I wish we had more days like that. I wish facebook was around then, because I know we would have stayed in contact over the years.
Missing your toothless smile because I will always remember you as you were the last time I saw you. <3

Well, once again, here I am to wish you a very happy 35th birthday. It never gets easier, but it has now become bearable. I have my moments when i sit and look at your picture and tears roll down my face. I love you more than life itself. You would be proud of your brother and sister as they have moved on with there life. Amanda is now pregnant with her fourth child. How many would you have, I wonder? You adored little children and you were so good at those claw machines and as soon as you won a prize, you would find a child to give it to. You even gave a Mickey Mouse to your favorite teacher, Mrs. Williams after you graduated high school, magna cum laude. That is when you pretended to be a student and put a backpack on and go to her class. When I see her that always comes up, along with eating smores pop tarts in her class. Emily, Shane and Brooke's room would be filled with animals right now. I'm sure there is a big party waiting for you in heaven today. Please keep watching over us .Your Dad and I love you very much.

Happy 34th Birthday baby. We never have once stopped thinking about you. You would be so proud of your nieces and nephew. They know who you are and they always ask if your in heaven. We all know you are and are watching over us. There is not one day I dont think about you, my love. So many questions. Why did you have to leave? Someone had a better plan for you. I hope you have a great big party today and i will wait for the day that we are together again. Your father and i miss you terribly. Love Mom

I did not forget to write for your 11th anniversary. I just couldnt find the words. They say it gets easier as time passes but whoever "they" are dont know what they are talking about. I think it gets harder and harder every year you are gone. This year, your friend Michelle who you went to school with and hung out , reached out to me cause i guess she has been searching for you for awhile and found your obituary and wanted to know if it was you, my son. She sent me your second grade picture and told me a story about how she remembered something you did. Always funny and trying to make people laugh. To think people from 25 plus years are searching for a friend they havent seen in years says something special about you. By the way, you were her lifelong crush.Gosh I miss you more than anything i can write. Your father and I love you and miss you from the bottom of our hearts. As Im sure you know Amanda had Brooke and she is so precious. Emily and Shane know who Uncle Shane is and we will never let them forget. Your Dad and i are not getting any younger and we think often about how we are one day closer to seeing you again. Until then baby doll, dont ever forget how much you are still loved and cared for. Love Mom and Dad

Thinking of you today, but that's nothing new. Have thought of you over the last 20 years or so always wondering where you moved to and how your life was going. At work today...i was telling the guys about vanilla icing...and one of the guys asked me if that was a new rapper...like vanilla ice. I couldn't help but smile...because i remember you dancing around my house singing "ice ice baby" as you went skating across the kitchen floor in your socks. It's your birthday tomorrow...so i'll think back to the days when you were in brick and happy at your roller skating party. love you and your big toothless smile forever...since that's how i'll always remember you.

Happy 32nd Birthday, my love. I often sit and wonder how your life would have been if it hadnt been for that horrible night. Would you be married, have a family, where would you be living, etc, etc, There still is not a day that doesnt pass that i dont think of you, my love. Hope you are with all the family and they are having one big party for you today. Your father and I, sister and brother, and friends miss you terribly..I love you more than life itself. It will never get easier.

31 years ago. I gave birth to my first child. I knew for sure I was having a girl, so why pick out a boys name. (this was before they could tell you the sex of your child). Well did I get a surprise when they told me i had a boy, but I had been watching a Yankee game and the pitcher for the evenings name was Shane Rawley. I said I really like that name so no hesitation, when they said you have a 7lb 12 oz baby boy you became my Shane. Happy Birthday in Heaven, my love. Your dad and I think of you everyday.

From a post by Sheena Jordan:
♥ A person that loses a partner is called a widow. A child who loses a parent is called an orphan. But there is no word to describe a parent who loses a child, because that loss is like no other.

Happy birthday Shane. I miss you so much bro. So many memories fade with time, I'm glad for this website. It's funny how a memory will instantly hit you. You know, when something you forgot about totally, suddenly comes back to you. How can I forget about that scavenger hunt though?         Okay. So, one day Shane took me over to some kid's house that I didn't know. He didn't tell me what we were doing or anything. We get to this kid's house and including Shane and I, there's 14 kids. Shane is the only person that I know there. We split the group into two teams. Three cars on each team and they start making a list of items to aquire. Items such as.... A garden gnome, pink flamingo, basketball net, garden hose, McDonald's playhouse ball, Publix crate, metal trash can ext... First team to collect all the stuff and bring it back to this kid's house wins. So Shane and I jump into his cavalier and start searching for the stuff on the list. I tell him to stop and I get out and run up on top of some SUV and start taking their basketball net while Shane runs and grabs the garden hose off the side of the house. Eventually we meet back with our team and we have everything we need, except a metal trash can. "Where can we get one?" "We searched everywhere"! Someone says "River Ridge." We drive there, grab the trash can and returned to that kid's house. Our team won! The other team starts showing up and there's so much stuff out in front of this kid's house! His Dad come out and is like... "What the hell is all this shit?" "Get it the hell outta here now!" So they decided, that it would be a great idea to set all of the crap up in this kid's yard that nobody liked. So at 1:30 am we decorated this kid's front yard with so much shit! Someone from the other team grabbed a hundred pound ceramic deer! We placed that right in front of the front door. Then we all got back into the cars and someone rang the doorbell. We waited for the front door to open, honked the horns and drove off laughing so freaking hard!!! Man! I miss you so much! I cherish these memories of you and forever wear them in my heart.
