This is a picture of Sperling with his Mother Helia.

Sperling loved riding his motorcycle.  This is a picture from 1965 in Denver, and that is me at 4 1/2 on the back. He was always very careful with passengers, and a very good rider.  

In the summers, we used to go up in the mountains of Colorado, along with the dog and the canoe, and enjoy the weekend.  We would hike, fish, enjoy robust meals, and partake of all that the hills had to offer.  This picture was on Lake Powell, with him and the dog...

At mine and Janet's wedding in '02, Sperling set himself up as the chef.  That way, he could meet and talk to everybody, without being stuck in a group or conversation.  He enjoyed cooking outdoors, and was great on a grill. That it was ground sirloin from the meat company he worked for certainly added to the interaction
