Nearly my entire career was spent with ECD/United Solar. Both my wife and I owe so much to Stan. His generosity and his compassion for humankind and the world were second to none. The world has suffered a great loss with his passing.

I had the privilege of meeting Stan while at ECD. A great man and it was an honor to serve him.

Stan's boundless energy and his passion for life and for science served as an inspiration to all who were fortunate enough to have known him. The world has lost one of its great scientists, but his spirit lives on.

I met Stan many times while working at United Solar. He was a great person and it was a privilege to know him. I am sure he will be missed by many. May he rest in peace.

What a loss. Stan has had a great role to play in molding the lives of many of us. He was kind, gracious, warm, caring, considerate and always had his doors open to all of us. Brightest man I ever met in my life. Will really miss him. My condolences to the entire family.

I am saddened that I never got to meet him in person. It was through PBS Scientific Frontiers with Alan Alda that I learned of Mr. Ovshinsky and that he and I lived so close to each other. I had such a desire to meet him. I am forever inspired.

It is very sad we lost Stan. He gave me so much of spirit in my life. I worked with him more than 35 years since I met him at his home just before I joined ECD. He had strong charisma and I learned so many things from him. I wish I could meet him in person before he went to far away. Thank you Stan for everything you did for me. I will never forget.
