I met Steve in September of 1973 on the third floor of Monroe Hall at East Stroudsburg State College. He certainly was a fun loving, larger than life personality. He always had a smile and always was a friend. I was lucky enough to work on his parent’s farm with him one summer. I really got to understand what hard work was that summer. Steve had a tremendous work ethic.
As we grew older and more responsible our opportunities to see each other became more infrequent. We cherished each opportunity to see Steve and his family. Our conversations were occasionally about the past but we normally spoke about our wives and children and most recently about our grandchildren. He is a once in a lifetime blessing for anybody that knew him. This world is a lesser place without him.
My deepest condolences to Connie, Bridget, Kaitlyn, Frank and their families at this time of loss. Words are no relief at times like this. I know that his memory will bring unending smiles to your faces and stories to share about him.
