Missing you.

September 18, 2020
You’ve been gone six years and not a day goes by that I don’t think of you.  I miss your laughter, your corny jokes, your thought provoking sermons, your compassion, your love and devotion.  Looking forward to being with you again in our heavenly home.  All my love forever!

The Not So End

I was being strong for my family after my grandpa passed, then I was sad for at least two months and I was mad at the man who shutoff his pacemaker for a week.

In May of 2013, when my grandpa started to get sick, everything was difficult after that point. After August of last year everything changed forever. My grandpa was gone forever. I was very devastated, everyone in my family was devastated. A little while later my extended family came to comfort us. We told stories of everything he did. The story I like was when he was hunting with my cousin. My cousin pulled the lever of the rifle and a loaded bullet flew out and into the campfire. A few seconds later the bullet exploded out of the fire and shot my grandpa between the toes.

Later we told more stories about him. My grandma made phone calls to tell people my grandpa had passed. We then had water and told more stories and then we prayed. Then everyone left and we went to bed.

We went to his funeral. There we had a special presentation and sang his favorite song.

We then went home. For a while things were different nothing felt right without him there with us. Eventually things went back to normal.

Two months I was upset but you have to not breakdown to help everyone else. What I took away from this experience was you loose some people but you will always have them.

THE VALUE OF WISDOM

"My son, if you receive my words and treasure up my commandments with you, making your ear attentive to wisdom and inclining your heart to understanding; yes, if you call out for insight and raise your voice for understanding, if you seek it like silver and search for it as for hidden treasures, then you will understand the fear of the Lord and find the knowledge of God.  For the Lord gives wisdom; from his mouth come knowledge and understanding; he stores up sound wisdom for the upright; he is a shield to those who walk in and integrity, guarding the paths of justice and watching over the way of his saints.  Then you will understand righteousness and justice and equity, every good path; for wisdom will come into your heart, and knowledge will be pleasant to your soul; discretion will watch over you, understanding will guard you, delivering you from the way of evil, from men of perverted speech, who forsake the paths of uprightness to walk in the ways of darkness, who rejoice in doing evil and delight in the perverseness of evil, men whose paths are crooked, and who are devious in their ways."
