I only just was made aware of Mrs. Eftink's passing. At 37 years old I decided to finish my degree in social work at Ole Miss and I was terrified. Mrs. E and I became quite close and she was a constant source of light, encouragment, and often times pushing me hard to keep me from dropping out and giving up. As we got to know each other we discussed many personal things. We talked over coffee, in her office, and prayed together in church. Although I was not Catholic, she still would invite me for prayer. When I graduated I had no one there for me. And the first person I saw upon dismissal was Mrs. E. She asked if I had anyone there for me. I guess I was embarassed because I didn't and she saw it on my face. She stopped someone and asked her to take our picture together. I still have it. That was in 2009. I'm profoundly sorry for your loss. She had the sweetest and often times most fragile heart I ever knew. My thoughts and prayers are with you all.

Dear Maurice, Jacob, Anna-Kate and family, and JJ: I'm so sorry for this painful loss in your loving family. Susan was such a friend to Oxford/University that her goodness will live as long as memories last.

Our Dear Susan...Though we have lived far apart, You are in our hearts.
You were probably my first childhood friend in Portageville...could it be because we lived across the street from one another!!! So sorry that you have had difficult times... Maurice, we pray that you and the family know that so many of your old friends are thinking of you. Love and Prayers of Peace are streaming your way, my friend.
Hope to see you soon.
Kathy and Mike
