I was thinking not so long ago again about how I missed giggling with Tim. We first met in college, when we ended up sitting next to each other in a dark auditorium in a class called Cultural Anthropology Through Film. Honestly, working full time and taking classes, I just needed an easy class that sounded interesting.
We were watching a film called Trobriand Cricket, which, and I may have this wrong, shows how Trobriand Islanders took the game of cricket, which the British occupiers had forced on them, and made it their own as an act of defiance and resilience. Somebody in the class said something during the film, criticizing the players' technique or clothing or something silly, and both of us laughed. Nobody else did. We both assumed the speaker was joking. Nobody else did. The person wasn't joking. Anyway, we knew we'd have to get to know each other after the lights went up. And that's how it all started, so much giggling over the years, along with not-giggling times, but the giggling was great.
We all have giggle moments with Tim that we can call up when we need to. Let's.
Still love you, Tim.
