I was checking my mail this morning and I saw a reminder that today should have been Val's 60th birthday. My mind went into reflections of the man, Val Ndiomu.
The thing that stood out for me was his kindness and his willingness to listen. Val never turned anyone down. He always had a solution, a suggestion, a smile for all who came with a baggage. He had this way of reassuring that it was going to work out in the end.
The world became a lonelier place without Val and my prayer goes to the family, his children, his spouse, his brothers, his sisters and yes, his mum and also his so many friends. May God continue to uphold us. And may Val's wonderful soul find expression in heaven.
