William was of Irish/English descent.  He was actually born on St. Patrick's Day, (William Patrick Cunningham).  He was one of three children.  Robert Cunningham, who now joins him in Heaven, and Mary Hall who resides in Texas.  He served in the military and then worked as a marble Mason until he retired.  William spent many hours donating his time at his home church in Castro Valley.  William was married to Shirley Cunningham who now resides in Carmichael, CA and had 4 children, Kevin, Carol, Linda and Janet.  Many years later, he married Ramona and he then became the step father of her children, Renee, Michael and Kristy.  Ramona passed in 2002.  William was a devoted husband and father as well as a  hard worker.  He was respected by all who knew him and  had many friends.  William enjoyed watching football, spending time with friends and family, going fishing and traveling. William left many Friends, Relatives, Children, Grandchildren and Great Grandchildren who will miss him and who's lives have been touched by knowing him.
