William Marsh
William was born in Dundas, Ontario to Sydney and Ellen Marsh
on December 21, 1924. He was a highly determined ‘self-made man’
who worked at everything from ‘grocery delivery boy’ during the Great
Depression, to ‘cowboy’, eventually founding William Marsh Real
Estate, and working very successfully as a Real Estate Broker for the
remainder of his career. He was involved in The Canadian Progress
club for many years, and was awarded ‘Man of the Year’ for his
outstanding efforts in raising funds for children with disabilities.
William was an avid skier, tennis player, boater, world traveller, and
lover of food, wine, and family!!
His father, Sydney Marsh, his mother, Ellen Marsh (Ross), his sister,
Kathleen Johnston (Marsh), and his brother John Ross Marsh, precede
William in death. His first wife, Pearl Marsh, his second wife, Suzanne
Marsh (Filion), and their son, Robert Marsh, also predecease him.
His wife Magaly Marsh survives William, as well as his
stepson, Miguel Martinez. His children Barry Marsh (Bettyann), Carole
Marsh, Denise Kennedy (Don Kennedy), Michelle Marsh (Stuart
Wyllie), Nicole Marsh-Burke (Desmond Burke), and Monique Marsh
(David Branigan) survive him. His grandchildren also survive him:
Wesley Marsh, Mikhail Marsh, Ushuaia Marsh, Jacqueline Day, Monique
Kennedy, David Kennedy, Kimberley Kennedy, Danielle Puopolo,
Suzanne Puopolo, Robert Puopolo, Olivia Puopolo, Aleksandra Burke,
William Burke, Desmond Burke, Hillary Burke, Nathalie Branigan, Leo
Branigan, and Kate Branigan. A great granddaughter, Stella Day-
Gervais, also survives him.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to The Canadian
Cancer Society, The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society of Canada, The
