Jerry, I'm so glad I got to meet you and hear your very detailed stories! I was in awe of your memory! I am so glad I got to bring Ray to meet you. I know you both enjoyed all the talking about WWII. Thank you for your service to our country and thank you for my freedom. Thank you for bringing Janice into my life, she is a beautiful, giving person. I also want your son John to know how deeply you loved him. You brought tears to my eyes (and your own) when you told me about him. Janice and John should both know how proud you were/are of them. My world became a richer place the day I met you. You touched the lives of many and you will not be forgotten! I am sorry for your family's loss, but I know you are in a better place and I hope you are dancing in heaven. Rest in peace <3

Mr. Winston will truly be missed , I loved listening to his war stories. But my favorite was about the green chicken. Getting to know you was a pleasure. Missing You! May you rest in peace.

Grandpa Jerry, you will be missed by all, may you rest in peace. As a man, father, husband, citizen...you impacted many lives and your unwavering strength was something I always admired. I'm sure my storytelling abilities were largely a result of my fond memories of listening to you tell yours. May we meet again someday in Heaven.

Uncle Jerry, you were my favorite uncle. I will forever miss our talks, and I am grateful that you were a part of my life.

I'll always remember the good times we had at the Detroit News. Jerry's tree-trimming tips always came in handy and probably saved me many injuries. Though we hadn't talked in quite awhile, I thought of Jerry often. He'll be missed and fondly remembered.

Uncle Jerry, you were and will always remain my favorite uncle. I will remember your great smile and laugh, with that twinkle in your eye, the love and fun you shared with Aunt Dorothy, and your basement bar. May your rest in peace with your parents and brother and sister.
