Anniversary

October 7, 2017

On Septeber 20, 1976 we were married, along the way we had our ups and downs but we stayed the course.  I knew that you loved me and your daughter, she was truly the love of your life,

On September 20, 1976 we would have been married 41 years, but you took wings five years ago,  I miss you every day, a day dosen't go by that I don't think of you.  I miss your humor and your quiet demeanor,

Allen was my brother-in-law and one of the best friends any man could have.  There was always a smile on his face and a joke in his mind because he loved to make others laugh.

I spent several weeks with Allen one summer.  During the five weeks that I stayed up there, he never would let me pay for anything.  He made sure that I had whatever I needed to have a good time.

When he brought me home, he told me that this would probably be the last time he would make it home.  I knew then that he was in great pain.  On the way home, he sleep most of the way, this was something that he had never done with me.

There will always be a void in my heart where he once lived.  I will always cherish the memories that we made together.  He may be gone physically from this place but he will forever live in my mind.  We have lost a great man that will not be able to be replaced.  I pray that you are resting in peace until we shall meet again in the sweet by and by.

Allen was like a tall knight to me.  I can remember when he would come to see Tine when she came home from school, I would stand up looking up at him and he seemed to go on for miles.  I remember telling him that I thought he was so tall when I was a little girl.  His reply was girl you finally grew up past my knees.  I will miss the humor that he brought along with his smile.  I say rest on in peace and I will see you in the great hereafter.

Allen wa more than a brother-in-law to me.  He was my friend. I was with He and Tine when they met We had so many good times toger in the 1970's.  Allen could always make you laugh.  He never talked about people negatively.  He loved his family, his wife, Mickey, and Jeff, and his brothers and sisters.  He held a special place in our family.  He will be sorely missed by all who loved him.  We pray God's blessings upon all of his family and friends.
