Thank you for all you do. My first friend, my Angel I would forever miss you forever. Growing up I wasn’t spoilt as the last born because she knew I might derail and everyone sees her as Margaret Thatcher as she disciplines us all. Thanks for all you do. My fine girl would treat anyone I call my friend as her own and vibe with them. We all had access to Mama Daco's pot. Mumsy would make sure she cooks and we eat. Even on her sick bed, she would ask "Dipo se o n jeun?" I am thankful that you lived a fulfilled life, you have sons that gave you daughters and children that gave you Grandchildren. My baby my calendar, remembers everyone’s birth dates and would remind us to call whosoever is celebrating. Can’t forget times I would call and I would be like "Hello, fine girl" and her response would be "ehen ooo fine boy" Thank you for all you do my Love. Tribute to Late Mrs Angela Arinola Dacosta. ‐---------------------------------------------- Mama Ladele was a woman of humble spirit, an ambassador of love, never tired of showing mercy and giving us food at all times and at the right time.
She was a good Christian and flexible in all her dispositions with all rank and file.
That chilly morning in the early Harmattan of January, all of us were lined up at the Assembly at Ebenezer Grammar School, Abeokuta. Fate brought Segun and Angela together in that childhood relationship of boy and girl friend, the Senior and the Junior, but God had His plans. Year into Year, the friendship grew and blossomed. God moved them into the next stage - they got married and became husband and wife. God was still at work because both of them were works in progress. A beautiful and happy family was raised and they both built a home filled with joy and happiness. On Saturday May 29, 2021, God decided to put a full stop to the works of one of the two legs of the Union. It was time for Arinola to take a final bow for her everlasting rest. All machinations of the devil, she resolved with God to terminate and thereafter embarked on the very lasting journey into eternity. Segun, you are still a work in progress in the hands of God. The heavenly imposed assignment must be concluded. Angela has transitted to the great beyond till we meet to part no more. We, your mates at Ebenezer Grammar School, Abeokuta say, continue to shine the light and strive for the highest. Arinola, our Darling, Pretty, Petite girl of yesteryears, our Pretty, Beautiful Wife and Mother, our very reliable and highly supportive Colleague, continue to rest in the bosom of our LORD. Adieu.
Sadness still thrills my soul knowing that I am not going to see and talk to you again Dear Mother. I am forever indebted to you for your solid impact on my education, job and family. You were one of the best mothers God used to replace my mum,so I'll live to forever cherish your memories. Till we meet on the last day, Good night Dear Mum.
It is with great shock and utter disbelief that we the childhood friends of Arinola Dacosta received the news of her death. She was a friend of ours since we started Sunbeam together at Ebenezer Baptist Church, Lagos. We all graduated to Girls Auxiliary (G. A), then to Lydia group. These are the stages of children/youth Christian training we received together at the Baptist Church. This friendship blossom till we all got married and our husbands became friends. We raised our children together visiting and counselling each other on issues of life. Arin was a lively and jovial person. Very hard working and a good homemaker. Although we are far from each other but we still communicate till she got sick. We will always cherish the time we spent together. We love you but God loves you more. May your gentle soul rest in perfect peace, Amen.
God saw you getting tired and a cure was not to be. So he put his arms around you and whispered, “come to me”. With tearful eyes we watched you And saw you passed away Although we love you dearly We could not make you stay A golden heart stopped beating Hardworking hand at rest God broke our hearts to prove to us That he only takes the best Thank you for being the best mother to everyone around you. Your legacy will continue to live on.
The bus stop reached and Arinola Oyewo Dacosta disembarked to be with the Lord.
A decent lady she was, fully immersed herself in church activities growing up.
From Ebenezer Baptist Church as a chorister, her love for church music led her to join Christ Ambassadors Singers of First Baptist Church Lagos well before Segun, the schoolmate of Egbon Debo took her, as a wife away from the Baptist circle.
She still remained a Christian till her death. Gone to live our childhood memories.
I’m honestly short of words because she is my mum. I knew her before I knew left or right. She was always warm and gracious to all the kids that came over. Her home was always my best sleepover place. Always made feel as a son with prayers and advises. I would miss you so much mom and I know you are in a better place. Thank you for all you taught and groomed us to be. Mama for the boys. We love you mom
I meet mom briefly in 2018 through her daughter in love Titilade Da-costa. l so much liked the way they relate. Such a loving and caring mother. She took care of Jola passionately. Rest on beloved.
A mother with a large heart and a healing smile was all she gave out that healed a lot of wounds. Mama Daco will not take rubbish from no one and Al she had was an unconditional love that spanned through all around her. She was able to bond myself and her first fruit Ladele not just as friends but brother's Kos she will always ask me whenever she saw me after Ladele moving over to ibadan "so ti ba Ladele soro"and I will respond we spoke yesterday or Days ago. You needed to come close to her to realise she had a heart of Gold, who would give me that look when I step late into church. So I have decided to be an early church goer. sleep tight Mama Ladele,Bolly and Dipopo

Sister Arinola (A A) It is still a shock to us that you are gone but we take solace in God that you are in the bossom of our Lord. You were the calmest and most quiet person I ever met, always smiling. Your smiling was very infectious, even when one is unhappy your smile always make a difference. I know you to be my sister's friend (Sister Sumbo Oni) as she was always saying good things about you and how nice you were. Each time I visited Jehovah Shalom, I could see your dedication and love for God in His vineyard, sad to hear that you have gone so soon. However none of us can query God. Words cannot describe how wonderful you were but your sweet memories lives with us forever. Continue to rest in peace Sister Arinola Angela Da- Costa till we meet to part no more. Keep on smiling.

An Angel were you as your name is Arinola Angela. May you sleep on, on the bosom of your Lord and grant your husband, children, grandchildren and loved ones the fortitude to bear the lost and fill the vacuum created by your lost. Amen
Aunty Arin was a loving forthright person. I met her when she married into my parents church, I was not married then and even though I was younger she reached out and was very friendly. What endeared her to me was the obvious love she had for her husband she made her accept everything about and around him. May her beautiful soul Rest In Peace, Amen Morin Adeyemi Nee Salu

Arinola & I met in 1976, we were colleagues at Post & Telecommunication now Nigerian Postal Service (NIPOST). She was a homely person & we shared same values which made us become friends easily. We attended Young Women Christian Association (YWCA) Catering School together which gave me the opportunity to bake her wedding cake; Arinola does not joke with her family, which was one of the same things we shared. She was a mother indeed, she showed love to everyone, everywhere. You will forever be remembered. Sleep on dear friend. Good Night. Mrs. Emily Adefunke Oyeyinka.

Mummy, We fondly called you mama awon boys. You not just that even to older friends of daddy, you that to all your children and their friends. Everyone keeps calling and telling me Mama Daco "mummy gbogbo wa ni". I was reminded how you would still create time to find out if a friend of your son that came to your home at 11:000pm late in the night had eaten. You would still make arrangement to ensure he took something before going to bed, even if it's indomie. I remember some time back when we finished the whole cooler of rice prepared for the house by bringing in friends. You didn't complain since we enjoyed the fish stew. You just arranged for another bigger quantity of rice incase we needed more. When it comes to food you would always ask "So fe je si?". You were always caring and Catering. Little wonder Late Pa. Orekoya will always demand only for your food. My friends will always say they want to introduce their finacé to you because they trusted your candid and sincere advice. You were always our free caterer anytime anyday. We will miss your Friday Moimoi. I will miss your 24hour call ahead for what I will eat before getting home. Words cannot quantify your caring value.
Mummy, I always wonder when everybody says Mama Ladele. Like it was just me alone. But you shared your love equally over all your children, you went as far as sharing it with every boy we brought home. Whether good or bad, ruffian or well dressed, so long as they came in with your children, you treated them like they were yours.
You would feed everyone like you had the gift of turning 5 loaves and 2 fishes to a miracle. You had Gold, but I can vividly remember how you sold all for the caring of your kids, You always told me that we were the treasures you know that God gave you.
We started this fight 17 years ago, God gave us victory. You were there to give out all your boys in marriage and added beautiful daughters, you not only saw, you bathed, nutured and cared for your grandchildren like you had always done for so many others.
Oba and Jola asked "Daddy when are we going to see Grandma Lagos?" I eventually had to tell them "Grandma has gone to be with Jesus". Jola asked "When is she coming back? Tell her to buy something when she is coming."
Words cannot express what you mean to but I will be happy in the fact that you transformed lives and you love God, even in death I know you still do. So many people have said to me "Mummy is our mummy, not only yours". It only reminds me that life is a journey of Good deeds. You have laid down a legacy, I pray to be able to carry it on.
