On Monday, June 1st, 2020, the Richardson family lost their brother, father and grandfather.
Curtis Willard Richardson was born on December 28th, 1945.
Curtis was a loving, giving, person and a great friend to all he knew. He had a great sense of humor and always had a "jokie joke". Under any circumstance, Curtis always knew how to make you smile. Allowing your world to be brighter, even if only for a moment. Curtis may not have been perfect, but he was perfect for his family.
Living in Compton in the 60s, Curtis never expected to make it to age 21. So to be 74 years old was a great accomplishment for him, especially since it allowed him to see his children grow and the birth of his grandchildren whom he adored. These experiences allowed Curtis to feel as though he was in heaven long before God called him home.
Curtis was preceded in death by his mother Aileen, grandmother Elsie, grandson Javion, sister Rosie and brother Bill. Curtis is survived by his sister Roberta, brothers: Marvin, Sammy and Theodore. Children: James, Curtis Jr, Rosie Lynn (Tony), Malinda (Sean), Felicia (Jose) and Ebonie. Grandchildren: Malinda, Michelle, Michael Jr., Jesse, Jaleesa, Curtis III, Michael, Christina, Julius, Edward, Eva, Tiani, Nathan, Ameir, Jaeda, Dwight, Daisha, his beautiful great grandchildren, and a host of family and friends.
Curtis will truly be missed! In his own famous words,. . . . "And that's a fact jack!"
