Diane Shaw, 74, passed away at her home in Pueblo, CO on April 16, 2020. Diane was born in Brownsville, Texas on August 28, 1945 to parents Lewis and Crystal (Thomas) Shaw. She was preceded in death by her father, Lewis, mother, Crystal, sister, Sandra, brother, Ron, and two grandchildren, Tony and Sarah.

She is survived by her children Jewel (Dennis), Donna, Susie (Mike), Ed (Sonya), and Dawn, ten grand children, Michael, Devin, Crystal, Jadah, Virginia, Chris, Michaela, Samantha (Chris), Austin, James, and 2 great-grand children, James and Maverick.

Diane was raised in Durango, Colorado where she graduated in 1963.  She raised her family in Grand Junction, Colorado until she returned to Durango, Colorado to help her mother with her business.  She has lived in Pueblo for the past 20 years. She has maintained a positive attitude, and always took care of others. She was very generous and unselfish; but most of all she loved nature and watching her birds.

She put her trust and faith in God, and the promises in His word the Bible. The words of John 3:16 filled her with strength and gave her comfort; “For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.” She was confident in God’s promise of a resurrection. She also loved Psalms 23.
Psalm 23

A psalm of David.

The Lord is my shepherd, I lack nothing.
He makes me lie down in green pastures,
he leads me beside quiet waters,
he refreshes my soul.
He guides me along the right paths
for his name’s sake.
Even though I walk
through the darkest valley,[a]
I will fear no evil,
for you are with me;
your rod and your staff,
they comfort me.
You prepare a table before me
in the presence of my enemies.
You anoint my head with oil;
my cup overflows.
Surely your goodness and love will follow me
all the days of my life,
and I will dwell in the house of the Lord
forever.
 She will be missed by her family and friends.
