Lorraine Saves Bobbin, and gets High Centered
Shortly before Christmas several years ago, I was at Linda's, using her long arm to quilt a Christmas present. I am sewing away, and Linda was doing something else, usually running around. All of a sudden, Linda is back upstairs, claiming that a cyote had taken Bobbin. She was very upset, and at first difficult to understand. Once I got her calmed down enough to understand what she was upset about, was that she had seen a cyote and Bobbin was outside.
I told her to show me where the cyote went, and it was down in the gully next to her house. So I said, let's go down and see if we can see if there is anything there. Going down was not bad, not so large fallen trees, and we made it to the bottom of the gully. Sure enough, there was some fur and entrails scattered around, and Linda was convinced that this was Bobbin. After assuring her that the fur was not Bobbins, she still was not convinced. So I told her to touch the entrails to see if they were warm --- after some nagging, she did it and lo and behold they were cold. This was the final evidence that Linda needed to realize that we were looking at a squirrel, not beloved Bobbin. So, back up the hill, lickety splict(for Linda) and much slower for me as this time tall Linda went up were all of the fallen trees were! She said suddenly she heard me laughing hysterically. She turned around and I was stuck on top of this log with both legs extended straight out, and unable to move. So, instead of finding and mourning eaten up Bobbin, Linda had to pull me off the log and haul me up the hill to save me!
Linda, we love you and will always miss you
