Funmi, if there ever was a definition of sweetness and kindness of heart, you embodied it. Your demise brought a shock to my system, though we haven't spoken for a while. Our friendship from school days raced quickly through my thoughts, and I could only recall your smile and cheerfulness. I can only imagine the pain your family feels right now. A gem is gone. Heaven have gained an angel. May your soul rest in perfect peace. And may God comfort your family at this time. Rest on, my friend.

Miss Bami like you usually call me, I can’t believe you’re gone so soon, I still have a lot of things to tell you and advice to seek. It didn’t feel like you are my aunty, was more like a twin sister cos you were caring, funny and free spirited. I deeply admired your energy and genuine happiness for yourself and people around you. Somehow I know you are in a better place and hopefully we would meet again to pat no more. Rest well in Gods bossom. From your funny and favorite cousin Ayobami.

An Aburo in a class distinct, a touch of light that is constant & a breath of freshness every where she is.

Death can be rude, the pit called grave can be so shameless otherwise how do you begin an explanation for " why Funmi"?.

May the light of your glory( Funmi) which found you by mercy while in this mandane world never cease. May your shine with Christ in glory for ever. Amen.

To Papa & Mama George, may strength & health be renewed to you both & may affliction never raise again. In al, May you both remain Soldiers for Christ with full testimonies abounding.

Femi, brother mi. It is well.

Let the Name of the Christ that is risen & who reigns eternally be praised in this too.

Words are inadequate to describe Funmi and the way of her passing which I received with a rude shock and much sadness. My heart bleeds as I come to terms with the realization that Funmi is no longer with us on this terrestrial divide.

Funmi was a selfless sister as I always called her, always willing to help, thinking of herself less but not less of herself. What a wicked world we live in that such a fine soul would be taken away from us all at a time such as this. My only consolation is that she is in a better place and watching over all of us who knew her and had an interaction with her one way or the other.

To the parents she left behind, I say take heart for the Lord taketh and He giveth. To her siblings especially my aburo Femi and all the other members of the family, I pray that our God of comfort shall comfort you and give you all the fortitude to bear this irreparable loss.

Rest In Peace my dear Funmi until we meet again to part no more.

Sister Funmi, my mama as I fondly called you, I choose to remember you for who you are and what you have done. Can I forget the way we gisted when I came to stay with you and Uncle Toyin in camp..lol. I was always eager to give you a new gist. I can't forget how you ran to my wedding with the free barbecue you made and didn't even have time to tie your gele. Everytime we spoke, you would tell me to take care of your son and grandchild. You always told me you still owe your grandchild a visit.
Well, you know what, I will always do what you told me and keep making you proud.
Happy posthumous birthday my baby geh.
