"Who is Ray?"
As I attempt to answer this question to new friends as I toast you at the latest Avs playoff game in Minnesota, I realize my answer fails to do your memory justice. You were much, much more than just a very genuine, honest man with an infectious smile, who loved his jack and diets, but most importantly his friends and family... especially his beloved mother where his name "Lemon" came from. Known for his love of sports-esp. the Avalanche and Rockies, travelling to Vegas for March Madness every year, playing "name that tune/artist/year" of the music playing over the loudspeaker of wherever he was at the time, engaging in a good game of golf or one of his charitable events, and watching his horses race, you could find him most evenings at the Wash Park Grill or at Marlowe's on a sunny afternoon for lunch.
These words barely scratch the surface of the person and friend you were to everyone whom was lucky enough to call you a friend. So, maybe the next time I will just summarize the answer to: "He was a Good friend" and smile. Thanks for the memories, Ray. The puck is in your court now, if you have any pull up there, maybe you can help Coach Roy out in Game 7. Your spirit definitely lives on. Miss you.
