MY BEST FRIEND AND ROLE MODEL IS GONE
I have lost my best friend and role model. Words can't describe how empty I feel right now. It seems things will never be the same again without you. You were a great man, worthy of sincere and profound respect. Very few people are blessed enough to call their father a legend, and even a smaller number are able to share that notion with the rest of the world. You strove to give everyone around you the tools to excel and become responsible people. Your kindness was infectious. You were always ready to sacrifice your time and energy to help others. That’s why they called you “Man of the People”. I have watched you and mother give to your family, your neighbors, your church, your friends, all my life. Your selflessness inspires me. Thank you, dad, for teaching me how to give. "I rejoice in the extraordinary life you were privileged to live, and I feel grateful and blessed to have been loved by such an amazing human being." Dad, you have selflessly given to me all my life. If I had to live my life over, I'd still choose you to be my dad once more. Even if it meant losing you again, is worth all the tears in the world.
Despite the worldly passing of an incredible man, I undoubtedly know that heaven has gained one angel. You were an unparalleled Giant in all sense of the word, Dad. So keep doing you up there, because no one does it better and no one ever will.
I have so many wonderful memories of our relationship. I appreciate so much your sense of humor. It has always been fun to laugh with you. Though you went away sooner than I expected, the memories we have shared will never fade away. Years may come and go but your memory will never be erased. My heart seems to break more & more each day that goes by, but I’m going to be strong & keep my head up high, because that’s what you’ve always taught me.
I hope you’ll be looking down on me. When life gets foggy, I hope you'll help me see. Help me as I take on the world.
Goodbye is not forever, we will meet again someday.
